Barracuda

If you have looked through my pictures, you probably have seen the picture of my study on the beach J

Not only is he doing very well in his study, he also is a very generous guy and insists that we eat with him every Tuesday for lunch when we go to have his study. These people don’t have much, but they are willing to share what they do have. Normally it is just some chicken and rice, but this last week he had a treat waiting for us. He was all excided when we got there, because one of his neighbors had caught a barracuda. He was cooking it over an open fire made of driftwood. Let me tell you, that was some of the best fish I have ever had in my life. He took the head for himself, because he knows its kind of odd for us gringos to eat the head, but to the Dominicans, that is the best part. So he is there knawin on this head that still has these big‘ole teeth in it. yummy

I can hardly eat any fish much less the head. Glad you had the
experience. They don't call it "cuda" for nothing
